The Bible And Buying A House

The Bible And Buying A House

The holy bible truly is one of the BEST books ever written.

I know that I am a bit biased because it’s my favorite book, but it’s true. And if you go by book sales, there is no comparison…The holy bible is the greatest book of all time.

A friend of mine in Dallas is looking for a new home, and anyone that knows me, knows I love the bible. SO my friend asked me:

“What does the bible say about buying a house?”

The bible covers every topic in one way or another that you may be going through. The scripture that comes to mind for house buying is:

Proverbs 24:27 ESVĀ

“Prepare your work outside; get everything ready for yourself in the field, and after that build your house.”

If you want to buy a house you must prepare for the purchase. Make sure you are ready to handle the responsibility, then you can make your purchase.

The bible says don’t by more house than you can afford, or it will become a curse rather than a blessing.

How many people during the housing bubble in America bought a house because the bank said they could afford it, even though they knew they could NEVER afford the house. You must use your resources wisely; Do your calculations and know what you can afford, don’t let the bank decide, you decide for yourself.

If you follow the teachings of the Bible, then you understand that God will provide your every need.

Special shout out to my cash buying home investor at Cash For Houses Direct, for helping me realize that in real estate cash is king, and buying a house doesn’t have to be so stressful.

Plan Your Finances Using The Bible:

Tithe first 10%

Make sure to put some away for savings

Make sure you pay your legal taxes

Get out of debt (pay off depreciating assets)

I know several real estate professionals, and the best advice I can give is for you to truly follow the bible. Don’t try to keep up with the Jones Family…

Buy what you know you can afford, and let your house be a true blessing. Make sure you prepare before you purchase.

Thank you Lord for continuing to provide for your children. God is so good, and I will continue to give him all the glory and praise.

May you be blessed in the purchase of your new home!
